🌏 Tiny Trip

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Tiny Trip ("the game") handles personal data. Effective 2026-11-02

Summary

1. Data we process

Your nickname is visible to others — don't use your real name or contact details.

2. Purpose, retention and legal basis

Live data is used only to show you to others in the same place and exists in server memory only while you are connected. Contact data is deleted after we reply, and automatically after 90 days at the latest. Travel stats are kept as totals plus the device ID; daily visit markers are deleted after 2 days, and device IDs/traveler numbers are kept until the service ends. Legal basis (EU/UK GDPR): legitimate interests in running the game, and your request when you contact us.

3. Stored on your device

Profile (nickname, character, passport country — used only to decide which places are locked and where "home" is on the map), passport stamps, collection, the trip in progress, settings, and trip album (up to 30 small postcards), food/animal books, weekly goals and badges, and a local usage log with a random device ID (only the operational metrics in section 1 are sent). Clearing site data deletes them permanently and creates a new device ID.

4. Cookies, ads and analytics

No cookies, ads or third-party analytics (e.g. Google Analytics). The travel stats in section 1 are counted on our own game server (Cloudflare). If we add ads or third-party analytics, we will update this policy at least 7 days before.

5. Service providers and international transfers

Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting, delivery, security, live and stats server — USA and other data center locations) and Google LLC (web fonts, contact form — USA). We do not sell or "share" personal information as defined by US state privacy laws.

6. Children

The game is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. Children should choose a nickname with a parent.

7. Your rights

You can delete on-device data by clearing site data. You may request access, correction or deletion of contact data, and in the EU/UK you may complain to your data protection authority.

9. Changes

We post changes at least 7 days before they take effect (30 days for important changes) and keep previous versions available.
